Cristos is a quaint Mediterranean restaurant found at the end of the West End’s main dining strip. The restaurant boasts the traditional blue and white tableclothed, street-side dining that is the signature of so many Greek restaurants. From the footpath tables you can relax and watch the hustle and bustle of the multicultural West End. On entering the restaurant itself, you might note the nautical theme of the restaurant with its white Athenian columns, and antique life buoys and glass floats. Cosy booths with an abundance of comfortable cushions are tucked away for those desirous of a more private dining experience.

Cristos serves traditional Greek cuisine with a modern touch. The menu features some old favourites like moussaka (a crowd-pleasing Greek dish of layered eggplant, potato and mince topped with bechamel sauce and served with Greek salad). The menu is not as complicated as some, making it easier for the less adventurous to order. Familiar items such as pizza, pasta and risotto are prominent items, as are more traditional options such as souvlaki, yiros, dolmades and prawn saganaki. Servings are large and offer good value-for-money. Cristos also boasts a plentiful choice of wines and spirits, including imported Greek wines, Ouzo and Metaza (a Greek cognac).
