Stepping from the somewhat plain Ann Street footpath and entering the towering glass gates of Cloudland’s doorway, the splendour of this spectacular venue rightfully takes one’s breath away. The modish setting is exquisite; it’s stylish and its culinary offerings are also fittingly superb. It’s a massive playground of the adult; the Tonka truck of restaurants. With a night sky scattered with stars spilling from the open retractable rooftop, walls bejewelled with thousands of breathing plants, intriguing sculptures and graceful water details, Cloudland fuses stylish ultra-modern decor with a futuristic, yet organic, feel. Likewise, the menu is elegant and diverse, with a range of cultural influences that highlight the contemporary Australian al a carte fare. The blue swimmer crab omelette entree with bok choy wombok and a ginger and soy broth is a fantastic introduction to the seasonal offerings. The lamb ragout is simply divine with tender succulent lamb tossed with freshly made tagliatelle and green olive cheeks, and subtly infused with truffle oil
Many intricate details, such as the thousands of butterflies layering the restaurant roof, a captivating 17,000 glass-ball bar, the rustic hanging staircase and a sea of intimate booths, add to the majesty. The next few months will see the opening of the third-level function room and a lower basement wine cellar and cheese bar. An appetizing selection of bar tapas is on offer throughout the day and eve, perfect to complement a few glasses of your choice from the impressive wine collection. Brisbane is truly showing her beauty with the arrival of Cloudland, and the creation of a new dining era is in the air.

DETAILS
Brisbane’s newest contemporary venue offering, Cloudland brings the outdoors inside for a one-of-a-kind lively dining experience. Located in the hub of the Valley’s Entertainment precinct, Cloudland is the perfect environment to wine, dine, meet and relax.
Any chef worth his salt will testify that the best cuisine, in any language, is in essence very simple; created from fresh, quality, seasonal ingredients. Cloudland’s executive chef, Michael Muir respects this philosophy entirely – adding to the mix ‘organic’ as another vital ingredient in his repertoire.
Muir’s penchant for creating uncomplicated yet seriously delicious dishes, made his transition from more traditional restaurant dining to a seriously modern nightspot not only seamless, but completely refreshing.
FUNCTIONS
Spanning four levels, with a retractable glass roof that opens with the touch of a button, Cloudland is designed to be a veritable ‘urban oasis’. Although the idea of an open-air venue is far from new, Cloudland couldn’t be further removed from your average beer garden. Springing from designer Nic Brunner’s vivid imagination, Cloudland is more like a film set for a futuristic Garden of Eden, operating as an architecturally brave bar, restaurant and function space.
Savvy hosts always pick a venue for their event that not only does justice to the occasion, but actually adds the cachet and prestige to propel your party to the hottest ticket in town. Cloudland caters for all your occasions from smart soirees of 50 people, to slick corporate launches, to even the grand life changing events of 1000 guests
