PROFILED BY DEGROOTS MEDIAExpect to wine, dine and leave feeling fine when you pop into Cafe Fuscia in Enoggera. So often a good meal can leave a bad aftertaste if attention to detail, staff efficiency and hospitality are not given equal focus, but the team at Cafe Fuscia have got this delicate mix spot on. The genuinely friendly welcome extended to diners at Cafe Fuscia is also offered to the small and reliable team of produce suppliers who hand over their fresh vegetables, fruit and meat to be transformed into traditionally prepared Italian fare. One of the first things you notice however is the beautiful wood-fired oven in the kitchen and an authentic Italian greeting.
Whether you choose to dine alfresco or indoors, the atmosphere is intimate without being cramped. As you peruse the menu, you’ll discover that the traditionally handmade pastas are married with carefully selected ingredients that radiate with the passion for perfection that defines Cafe Fuscia. The famous wood-fired pizzas and calzones, too, are said to leave pizza lovers gob-smacked. A definite must is the Wagyu beef pizza, topped with char-grilled eight score Wagyu fillet, caramelised onion, fungi, baby English spinach, cracked pepper bearnaise sauce and garlic confit. This flavour extravaganza took out Queensland’s best meat pizza and joins the countless other awards that Fuscia has deservedly collected.
