PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIAThis intricately designed restaurant is full of style and is instantly impressive. Upon entering your eye is drawn to the plush red lounges just begging to be reclined upon in the Harem Lounge. The bar is lavishly stocked with a wide range of reputable labels which tempt one to try a cocktail or two before venturing into the Phoenician Dining Room.
Byblos is located in the stunning setting of Brisbane’s new Cruise Ship Terminal, surrounded by expensive apartments and a range of boutiques and upmarket facilities. With a spectacular view of the river, it is the perfect setting to delve into cuisine best described as modern Lebanese and Mediterranean fusion. The key to appreciating the food is to try everything. The menu features a wide range of small starters rather than mains, as is the custom in many of the countries which have influenced the food here. The trio dip is a perfect appetiser to get your tastebuds into that Mediterranean groove. Follow with the rare flavours of escargot sauteed with garlic, fresh coriander, lemon juice and olive oil. Don’t miss out on the mixed grill with tender skewers of lamb, chicken, kafta and fish served with garlic sauce, tabouleh, hommus and fresh Lebanese bread.
