Breathing Space Cafe is a unique idea created and run by mothers-on-the-go for mothers-on-the-go. This neat little cafe is hidden away in Indooroopilly close to the train station and is heaven sent to mothers who are after just that, some breathing space. Offering indoor and al fresco dining in a cute rustic Queenslander decorated with simple artistic paintings, there is a play pen located in the centre for the youngsters to play while you sit and enjoy a coffee and a meal. Or if you wish for complete solitude while catching up with friends then the children can retire to play in the Kids Space under the qualified care of one of the many friendly staff.

Head chef Clive Pearce creates fresh, wholesome food for mothers and children alike. There are a number of options for breakfast and lunch, as well as snacks in between. Try the buttermilk pancakes with grilled banana and mascarpone or bacon and lemon ironwood syrup. Lunch options include a number of gourmet open grills on Turkish, wholegrain or gluten-free bread, as well as tasty salads and risotto. Then of course there is the kids menu featuring healthy options like steamed vegetables or the Kids Lunchbox with sandwiches, yoghurt, cheese stick, sultanas and milk or juice.
