PROFILED BY DEGROOTS MEDIAAqua Restaurant and Bar adds vibrancy to the seafood, sun and sails precinct. Defined by waves in glass and sails, Aqua’s casual decor is splashed with bright reef colours against crisp white, rich leather and calming grey tones. The restaurant is open fronted, allowing diners to enjoy the soft breeze and water views as they tuck into their food. If the weather turns wet and wild, however, the staff are quick to roll down the clear blinds to keep everyone dry.
The extensive menu includes steak, seafood and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. Main meals are priced from $15 to $35 but the seafood platter for two is one of the most popular dishes. The platter is stacked with fresh seafood including prawns, oysters, scallops, calamari, lobster, bugs and fish. Drop in for lunch and choose from the main menu or try the deli bites selection. Children are more than welcome and there is an elevated plasma television and headphones so the younger members of the family can watch DVDs while parents dine. Entertainment adds to the atmosphere on Wednesday nights when the smooth sounds of jazz fill the air. Aqua on Broadwater Restaurant and Bar is open daily from 10am until late Monday to Saturday and for breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
