Tree Tops provides a relaxing oasis in the middle of a busy tropical city. With tables out on the veranda overlooking the palms garden and pool, it’s easy to relax into holiday mode. As Australia’s only tropical capital, Darwin’s lifestyle remains casual and friendly with Tree Tops capturing that spirit in both its menu and decor. Multicultural flavours, local produce and classic dishes combine in a menu that gives scope for all tastes, appetites and budgets.

Starters include garlic marinated barramundi wings, shallow fried and served on tabouleh salad served with mango salsa; Mirambeena mussels wok fried with chilli, tomato, garlic and white wine; or a char-grilled chicken Caesar salad of cos lettuce, grilled bacon, anchovies, garlic, croutons and traditional Caesar dressing. Mains continue the cross-cultural themes with chargrilled rib eye fillet on the bone served with home style chips, English spinach and roasted field mushrooms with a red cabernet jus and garlic aioli; a fillet of Atlantic salmon served on rice, accompanied by a green paw paw salad with a garlic tamarind sauce; and a Thai vegetable curry served with rice and grilled roti. There’s even a Tree Tops pie floater. The well-stocked bar includes a basic selection of wines.
