PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIARistorante Rosinaz has reinvented itself recently and the transition from an eclectic, but well-loved menu of Indian, African and Mediterranean dishes to a simple pizzas seems to have been successful, as locals and regulars shuffle endlessly through its doors on any given night. While the menu has been reworked, the restaurant itself fortunately has not, retaining its beautifully stylish decor and wonderfully romantic and intimate ambiance. The alfresco dining area that looks out over the tranquil suburban gardens will also provide you with a majestic Top End sunset to compliment your meal.
While an array of pasta dishes are available, the main draw card to the new Rosinaz is the gourmet pizzas. If you happen to be seated near the large modern kitchen you’ll even have the benefit of watching them being prepared. You should find something to your liking on the menu as the favourites are all in attendance, but the kitchen can happily accommodate any pizza creation you care to conjure. The small size is a perfect meal for one, so you and your party can sample a wide variety of tasty toppings without breaking the bank. The seafood pizza is particularly good with fresh prawns that are juicy and succulent, while the Mexicana lives up to its reputation with piping hot pepperoni and diced chilli – not one for the faint of heart! The vegetarian pizza adds crisp snow peas to the usual collection of toppings, giving it a sweet and delicious crunch. Once you have finished exploring the lively Palmerston markets on a Friday night, make sure you head to Rosinaz to indulge in the wonderful home-style food and to enjoy the delightful tropical surroundings.
