Mirambeena Pool Side Bar Cafe

Travelodge Mirambeena Resort boasts two restaurants: Treetops Restaurant is the more upmarket of the two, while the Pool Side Bar Cafe has a more casual feel about it. Sitting by the pool amid the leafy greenery in the balmy air, you might hear green tree frogs croaking away and water spilling over the man-made falls of the stunning resort pool. Amid the peaceful surrounds, it’s hard to fathom that you’re right in the middle of Darwin, not five minute’s walk from the city centre.

Open for both lunch and dinner during the dry season and lunch only during the wet, the menu consists of your classic cafe fare. Lunch on an assortment of freshly made sandwiches, rolls and salads, battered barra and fries, or bowls of wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli dipping sauce. Try the Mediterranean focaccia with salami, olives, feta, artichokes and semi-dried tomatoes or the grilled chicken, Cheddar cheese, avocado and mayonnaise focaccia, both served with fries. For dinner go for something more substantial with the steaks and burgers served with chips, or a seafood basket. The well-stocked bar will provide you with a refreshing accompaniment to your meal.
