PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIAIn the open bar/lounge area of the Lincoln you can sip exotic cocktails whilst relaxing on comfy sofas under soft lights whilst looking through the large open windows opening on to leafy Bayswater Road. On the upper level is the dining area, with the exclusive Krug Room hidden somewhere on the premises like an urban myth. The a la carte menu is contemporary European and at times needs an English translator, as with the rabbit and prune croustade with boudin noir and calvados jus. The tasting menu veers towards modern Australian with items like aromatic duck and coriander tortellini, shitake mushroom salad and ponzu dressing. For dessert the poached peach with earl grey pannacotta is sweet enough to take the bitterness out of even my mouth.
