DETAILS
As the mercury begins to dip and another glorious Sydney summer comes to an end, The Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks is offering an indulgent opportunity to experience fine dining outdoors during the cooler months – without the associated chill.
Having transformed its Harbour Terrace into a cosy dining haven complete with increased heating and complimentary blankets, The Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks has enabled guests to enjoy fine food and wine and the most idyllic views of Sydney Harbour on the most crisp of winter days. Snuggling up on the deck wouldn’t be complete without a truly decadent meal, of course, and head chef Marc Philpott has designed tantalising new dishes to compliment regular items on The Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks a la carte lunch menu to indulge your palette.
Aside from ordering freely from the menu to your heart’s content, fantastic dining specials are also available at The Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks this winter Monday to Friday, and include any one course from the menu plus one glass of wine and tea or coffee for $32; two courses plus one glass of wine and tea or coffee for $50, and any three courses from the menu plus one glass of wine and tea or coffee for $60.
Set amidst secluded national parkland with views across Rose Bay, Watsons Bay and Sydney harbour shipping channels, The Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks is also one of the best places in Sydney to enjoy a traditional High Tea this winter, which includes a set selection of sweet cakes, savoury pastries and finger sandwiches, home made scones with preserve and cream and a wide selection of tea or coffee – served on authentic British three tiered silver stands with Royal Albert china.
Tea connoisseurs may also be interested to note that The Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks houses the largest selection of Ronnefeldt teas in the Asia Pacific – boasting 44 exquisite teas from the luxury German tea house.
A gluten-free High Tea is also available at The Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks each day, and throughout winter, guests who order Traditional Afternoon Tea can rug up on the Harbour Terrace’s beautiful wooden deck, or in the cosy dining room with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine (from 11am, Monday to Friday).
Traditional morning and afternoon tea is served at The Tea Room Gunners’ Barracks from 11am daily and a la carte lunch is available from 12pm daily. Bookings are recommended.
