Sailors Thai

I took a long weekend in Sydney with my daughter and we ventured around the Rocks. After poking my head into an unassuming building we were overcome with the lovely aromas venturing out. That clinched the deal - we were going to eat here. Our waiter was fantastic - seated us out on the balcony and let us take our time to explore the menu and then after we had made our choice, everything from there was great. Wine, service and yes, even the prices. Will have to say that was one of the best impromptu foodie stops we made. 26/08/2011

We ate at the Sailor's Thai last night and found the meal and service fantastic. Considering some of the comments about service were negative I have to say that we did not experience any problems at all, the service was prompt (my glass never ran dry) and the food was served quick, well presented and tasted awesome (I recommend the Whole Fried Snapper). We recently ate here on a trip to Sydney, complete with lots of kids in tow, so at the more casual canteen upstairs. Not only was the food sublime but it arrived really quickly (great for kids who have a very short attention span) and the rice was constantly topped up. A really nice touch was the rice pudding with mango given complimentary to our five year old who would never have selected such a dish but promptly ate everything! Well priced, fun and lively atmosphere and food that keeps both adults and children happy! A lovely place 09/02/2010
