Photos of the English monarchy adorn the walls, while health food cookbooks and vintage teapots fill the surrounding shelves, Nourishing Quarter on busy Cleveland Street in Redfern is undoubtedly unique. And not only because of its eclectic decor – the menu is a mix of South American and Asian. But it’s not your average South American/Asian fare, Nourishing Quarter caters for the fussy, skinny-leg-jean-wearing, hardcore-yoga members of our society with an impressive range of wheat-free, dairy-free, meat-free, whatever-free items on the menu. Hell, they even ask if you have any allergies when you ring to book a table. Finally a restaurant that caters for vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians. A welcome addition to the Sydney dining scene.
