Whether you are from the other side of the world or live just around the corner, you can’t get much better than this. Located front and centre on Bondi Beach’s boulevard is Nick’s Bondi Beach Pavilion invites in both sandy feet and suits into its light filled venue. As part of the historic 1928 Pavilion building, the restaurant renovation has kept with the look of the iconic lifesaver tower. So, when you step into the fish bowl dining room with floor to ceiling windows, you are greeted with a 180 degree panorama of arguably the most famous beach in the world. The fully licensed bar is equipped with comfy lounges, and the outdoor area make for a terrifically versatile function venue for weddings, corporate events, special occasions or even high school formals.
Aqua-hued decor picks up the colours of the sea and brings an ocean freshness that matches that of the seafood. Although based on a typical modern Australian menu, hints of Asian and Mediterranean influences can be seen dotted throughout the dishes. So while one of your party is twirling a fork through the spaghetti marinara with clams, scallops, calamari, prawns, mussels and crab, another may be tucking into a crumbed fillet of Atlantic salmon served with bok choy and wasabi butter. Nick’s famous seafood platter for two is ideal for couples willing to arm themselves with little oyster forks and claw crackers in preparation of a seafood bonanza. Never fear if you’re a non-seafoodie, there are plenty of juicy steaks and chicken dishes. However, for a touch of the seaside, whether it be on your plate or in the air, Nick’s Bondi Beach Pavilion serves up a world class venue with cuisine to match.
