With the water lapping footsteps away, the Marquee Dining Room is the attractive little side-kick to the palatial Le Montage functions centre. By little, I mean only in comparison to the other areas within the monolith to which it is attached. This dining room is effused with charm and is as flexible as a yoga master. So whether you are hosting a catch up between friends, a corporate meeting or a lively engagement party, it’s amazing what stops the Marquee Dining Room will pull out to accommodate your every wish. Plants, music, decorations, lounges and even a grand piano are all tools available for creating the perfect setting. Floor to ceiling windows can be opened up on warmer evenings, allowing the sea breeze from Iron Cove Bay to waft in. Add a brilliant sunset and you have yourself a gorgeous event.

Although Marquee is potentially one of the most versatile restaurants in Sydney, there is a catch; it only takes bookings for 10 or more guests. Groups have the option of picking one of the five set menu packages. However, if you’re after something a little different, the team at Marquee are happy to sit down and design a tailor made package, perfect for your occasion.Choose to feast on a double-roasted pork belly served with crispy crackling, piped buttered mash, apple seeded mustard confit with wilted greens and a cider rosemary jus. You may decide to finish with a delicious house-made carved chocolate box with mousse, fresh berries and berry coulis. Like the restaurant itself, the chefs pride themselves on versatility and exceptional quality when it comes to the menu.

I was hired by a company to plan a week of corporate events. I needed to find an environment that could support a presentation and a series of discussions, with food and entertainment in between. My clients were pleased with The food, service and atmosphere of Le Montage. The night was a flawless success. So naturally when i was planning my wedding reception with my wife, i had to book it at le montage. My wife was so controlling and stressed during the process of planing the wedding. Im glad le montage had made it so easy for us. We had our reception in The "Sarah Grand Ballroom", and it was THE MOST AMAZING night of my life. I see a lot of impressive events through my line of work, but my wife and family and i were stunned walking into our wedding at dusk, with the view of the water, and all our guests enjoying themselves. At our reception, the kitchen managed to produce 300 plates of steaming hot sumptuous food in under 15 minutes. Everybody was eating together. The dessert was a carved chocolate box with chocolate mousse and berries and a berry sauce on the plate. Im a big fan of chocolate (and my wife too!) so you can imagine how much we enjoyed it. I recommend Sarah Grand Ballroom to anybody wanting a perfect night. review 23/02/2009
