La Repubblica

Two of us dined at La Repubblica last night for the first time. The food was delicious and the service prompt and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to see the gluten free choices clearly marked on the menu and enjoyed both my "GF" dishes immensely. A good selection of wines and of course a superb location will have us returning to dine here in the near future and I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant for an enjoyable evening meal. 04/05/2012

A tastefully decorated, modern Italian cafe and restaurant by day and a great place with the right ambience for relaxing in the evening right by beautiful Balmoral Beach, over a fabulous dinner with family or friends. The menu is fresh, creative, generous & you can taste the freshness of the produce. The quality of the ingredients really come through with every bite. To compliment your meal, enjoy either a fabulous glass of wine from a well thought out wine selection or a tasty and generous cocktail. The management are friendly, personable and value their patrons and the staff are hardworking and attentive without being intrusive. I have certainly appreciated a consistent and thoughtful service over the many times I have been there since its inception. I will continue to introduce my friends and family to La Repubblica and trust that they will enjoy it as much as I do. Balmoral needed a La Repubblica and it fits in beautifully to its surrounds. 23/03/2012

I would like to say a big 'Thank You' to all the staff at La Repubblica. I have been coming to your restaurant for several months now and even though I am always so grateful for the amazing service and the genuine caring, I often forget to really express my gratitude. So, today I want to do that. I have travelled to almost every country on the planet, have met and experienced the some of the finest dinning and experienced some wonderful service, I don't think I have ever experienced such genuine warmth and fabulous service as in your establishment. I decided to book my birthday lunch here as my friends and I enjoy coming to this little jewel by the beach! The food is always sensational, I have my favourites, the freshly roasted coffee, divine angel hair pasta with mudcrab, ocean trout, oh and the desserts are delish! The fabulous hospitality started right from the time we were organising the set menus and continued with exceptional service on the day! We were seated upstairs where we had a fantastic view of Balmoral Beach and enjoyed the seabreeze. Perfect setting for a celebration! There were 20 of us, and with such a large group of people, they were so attentive and didn't miss a thing! Every single one of us had a wonderful time, and it made the day so special. A large group of us were upstairs celebrating a friend's birthday. With a set menu in place, we were not expecting a bill of over $900. They had charged us for a meal we didn't receive (and they didn't serve) as one person couldn't make it. Forgot the salads and charged us for them anyway. Didn't tell us we were paying for the water and charged us extra because we didn't drink much alcohol. I'm sure there are better places to eat in Balmoral than this deceptive, over priced place. 11/12/2011

Recently our very large family celebrated our wonderful mother and grandmother's 80th birthday at this restaurant. We had a beautiful afternoon with amazing food and service, from friendly and obliging staff. All of this with a beautiful view of Balmoral Beach! 04/11/2011
