Kingsleys Australian Steakhouse is housed in a heritage listed three level sandstone building in the CBD. The interior is unique with exposed timber beams and cathedral ceilings and a sandstone private dining room.

From the intimate atmosphere of The Old Cigar Lounge (private dining room), to the spacious upper floors, Kingsleys interior features exposed timber beams with cathedral ceilings. Versatile set menus boast fresh produce with seasonal highlights from light entrees of seafood to a choice of numerous steaks… Yet, please be assured, all tastes are catered for.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
Although the emphasis is on quality steak dishes, there is also a good variety of quality seafood. Kingsleys Australian Steakhouse also offers a comprehensive wine list which has been designed as the perfect accompaniment to the high quality of produce on the menu.

FUNCTIONS
In addition to the Private Room, the entire top floor of the King Street restaurant can be reserved for a private function. The top floor at King Street offers a combination of old world charm with natural light filtering through modern sky lights. Well, it's essentially an upper class steakhouse with a classy menu. They were probably at 80% capacity and yet we received and finished our entrees and mains within the hour. The atmosphere was good, staff friendly, our waiter of the evening was great. Yes, a tad expensive but expected. It didn't matter anyway because we enjoyed the food so much. Steaks melted in your mouth. Even the bread and garlic butter spread was fab. We will go back. review 11/07/2009

I expected a high quality steak when I ate at Kingsleys- and that is what I got! Cooked textbook Medium rare the Wagyu beef I ordered was tender with a wonderfully even marbling. The disappointing part of the night was the small portions. However- this could be perceived as wanting 'more of a good thing'. The service was acceptable but given the business of the night (two large groups)it may have just been the luck of the draw. The atmosphere is like that of an underground tavern, with dark wooden furnishings and low-lighting. Overall, it was a decent experience- I probably had too high expectations as MANY people I know are HUGE fans of this restaurant. review 14/07/2007
