High Street Bistro

What a reliable addition to neighbourhood dining this has turned out to be. Stylish - but not too much so - noisy - but not too much so - comfortable and very convenient. I have been coming here regularly for more than a year now and the food has always been delicious. we went for a family dinner last week and besides being welcomed back like family we were treated to a delicious dinner with warm friendly and efficient service. we shared entrees - duck liver parfait was to die for and the gnocchi with white asparagus and burnt sage butter (which has been on the menu since opening) remains one of my favourite. The roasted duck breast - crunchy salted skin with melt in your mouth pink flesh, puddles of sweetish jus and a tangy braised red cabbage - tasted better than it sounds. The strawberry blanc mange is better than ever and remains smooth, tangy, sweet and moorish. Keep up the good work guys - and more people will move into your neighbourhood. 12/12/2011
