The Harbour View Hotel, right in the heart of The Rocks, may have undergone a full refurbishment, yet the restaurant remains beautifully 'old world' and steeped in fascinating history and is one of Sydney's most characteristic hotels.

After an extensive, yet subtle face lift the Harbour View Hotel has a with a new restaurant, function rooms and bar areas. Situated on the top floor, with incredible views of the bridge and harbour is the hotels restaurant. Catering for both a la carte and functions the menu is as far from pub food as you can get, yet still affordable. Best described as Modern Australian the menu is eclectic, offering freshly prepared seafood, steaks, chicken and vegetarian options.
Great for after work drinks, pop into the cocktail bar for fabulous concoctions then enjoy a lovely meal in the restaurant. The Harbour View is up there as one of Sydney's best all round venues.

Art Deco charm combines with historic views of the Harbour Bridge and The Rocks at this multi-level pub plus dedicated restaurant.If you’ve not yet discovered a restaurant that boasts both good views and great food in The Rocks, it’s time to take notice of the Harbour View Hotel. This multi-level pub has a dedicated restaurant, which – coupled with views up the Harbour Bridge’s skirt – makes it a venue you’ll be sure to keep in the forefront of your mind. The pub is chock-full of character, complete with a stylish public bar and a rooftop warmed by on-roof heaters. The cocktail bar adjoining the restaurant is frequented by Harbour Bridge climbers who toast to their climb with an icy cocktail of strawberry liquor, opal nera and fresh strawberries dubbed The Coathanger.

The restaurant itself has an understated 1930’s charm, accentuated by walls the colour of creme brulee, dark wooden chairs and a ye olde fireplace. The menu is comprised of dishes that match the elegant space yet pack the satisfying punch of a pub menu; the chilli hotpot is swimming with prawns and mussels and served with toasted sourdough, and the braised lamb shanks are complemented by crushed garlic potatoes, grilled tomatoes and buttered beans. And because you are in a pub your meal can be accompanied with a frosty schooner of beer, fresh from the tap.
