Located within the elegant five-star Observatory Hotel in Sydney’s historic Rocks district, Globe Brasserie & Bar serves modern Australian cuisine in a charming, old-world atmosphere. The relaxed ambience, seasonal menu and attentive service are highlights. Globe also serves a popular tapas menu. Globe Brasserie & Bar is open from 12 noon to 10.30pm every day.

Globe Brasserie also boasts Sydney’s finest award-winning traditional afternoon tea, served in the grand British tradition. Featuring sumptuous cakes and charming sandwiches served on three-tiered stands, afternoon tea is served from 2.30pm to 5pm weekdays and from 1pm to 4.30pm at weekends.

We have 'taken tea' at several places in London and New York, as well as Sydney and Melbourne and we rate this as the best - food superb, and generous; tea - excellent varieties and elegantly served; service and ambience unbeatable. Hope it's still as good as then. On that occasion, no criticisms whatosever. review 11/04/2012
