DETAILS
Fiesta on Oxford was opened 27 years ago by two sisters, Jan and Vicki Forsyth. It is a colourful, fun restaurant with Mexican artifacts hanging from the ceilings and the walls – plenty to keep the eyes occupied. The atmosphere is buzzy and upbeat. Single tables, booths and long communal tables cater to groups of all sizes. Latin waitstaff offer relaxed, friendly service and great food and drink suggestions. Fiesta on Oxford is open seven nights a week for eat in and take away.
FOOD
Fiesta on Oxford offers all the traditional Mexican favourites plus some modern Mexican cuisine, with lots of seafood and vegetarian options. Food is served mild, with chilli of varying strength available to suit individual tastes. The meals are prepared traditionally with no corners cut, meaning the tortillas are handmade, the nachos are baked in the oven and the house chilli sauce is made fresh. There are kids options available, and lighter meals like smoked salmon sincros for those who find regular Mexican food too filling. There’s a lot of choice, so don’t be afraid to ask your waiter for advice.
BEVERAGE
Fiesta on Oxford has a substantial drinks list filled with imported and specially sourced tequilas and beers not found anywhere else. Try some Spanish sangria or a Brazilian caipirinha, or one of the many margheritas that are the restaurant’s speciality. There is also BYO available for wine only.
FUNCTIONS
Perfect for a celebration, a separate dining room and cocktail lounge is available for functions and private dining. Set menus and drinks packages can be tailored to suit your needs and budget. Children’s parties are also catered for. Please call and speak to Jan to book your next function.
