Choc-a-block full of Italian goodies, Favoloso is a true local beauty which has nestled itself nicely into the streets of Bronte’s neighbourhood. Light and bright, Favoloso welcomes with a friendly buon journo, inviting guests in to sample its delicious wares. Part produce and deli store, and part restaurant and cafe, each section works harmoniously with the other to create a little slice of Europe in the Eastern suburbs. So it’s no wonder that this joint is such a success – there’s nothing else quite like it within a five kilometre radius. Primarily decorated with the pantry products that line the walls and benches, the place is also jazzed up with a scattering of Italian posters. With neatly placed tables spilling out to the sidewalk, many a customer will settle in this sunspot with a paper, a coffee and a snack of some description, and while away a good hour.

The menu sports an array of freshly prepared meals from the notoriously good Italiano egg and bacon roll to the antipasto selection. Homemade Italian dishes such as spaghetti and meatballs and risotto fill many a plate on many a table, or make a selection from the abundantly stocked glass display cabinet. The paninis have been likened to those found back in Rome and come packed with ingredients from the deli. Like any good Italian eatery, the coffee here is pretty close to perfection as well.
