DETAILS
With wrap around views to Circular Quay and the harbour, ECQ Bar is one of Sydney's favourite meeting places. Featuring live music on weekends (Friday and Saturday) adds to the impression of smart-suited cool, providing the ultimate setting for an after work cocktail and catch-up with friends at the end of a busy day. The stylish space features a marble bar area, with overhanging black-spherical lights. They emit a vibrant glow by night turning the venue into a hip cosmopolitan locale. During the day the natural light floods in from the expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The eclectic design flourishes from the floral patterned carpet, to the bright orange menus and grey lounges truly epitomize ECQ’s city-chic style.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
Along with the new fit-out comes a newly inspired bar menu that dishes up Modern Australian fare by Executive Chef Daniel Simpson. With a focus on seasonal, fresh and sustainable produce, tastebuds will be tempted by share platters of white truffle arancini with cannelini bean puree or wagyu bresaola with celeriac remoulade, pickles and sourdough wafer. Light meals include salt and pepper calamari strips, served with house made sweet chilli sauce as well as a select range of pizzaiola’s. Robust main meals also grace the menu with the likes of chargrilled chicken breast with herb polenta chips or a 400g T-bone steak florentine with sautéed mushrooms, spinach, parmesan, and truffle oil. The beverage menu offers a good selection of local red and white wines from Australia and New Zealand as well as French champagne and an extensive beer list of local and international brews. The cocktail menu is also a treat with urban classics, sparkling varieties and ECQ moments like the signature ‘heaven’ cocktail with fresh rockmelon, mango and an angelic mix of liqueurs.

FUNCTIONS
ECQ is available for private functions for up to 100 people. The venue offers cocktail canape menus in a chic cosmopolitan setting, with friendly and personal bar service. It is an ideal location to unwind, relax and enjoy the intimate surroundings of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Quay Grand Sydney Suites.

Outstanding Service. So eager to please & genuinely happy to have you eat there. Meals were excellent with the prawns being so big it was nearly hand to hand combat. The pumpkin soup is the best I've ever had & the calamari was in my top 3 ever as well. Fantastic views of the working Quay to last all afternoon. At night it would be even better! Not cheap, but good value. An excellent venue for that special lunch or dinner.review 27/07/2008
