Bondi Icebergs Club Bistro is situated underneath the coveted Bondi Icebergs Restaurant; however, this downstairs venue only brings guests closer to the waves of Sydney’s iconic shoreline. If you are lucky enough to nab one, the most desirable tables are lined along the outside balcony, which runs the length of the north-facing panorama. Unlike the upstairs fine-diner, an easy, breezy beach culture is made apparent with sandy feet, wet-bottoms of recent swimmers, and the smell of sunscreen.

Catching up with friends for a drink gives the perfect opportunity to snack upon an antipasto plate with grilled eggplant, capsicum, zucchini, roasted olives, hummus and pide bread. If the belly grumbles for more, then the pasta, salad and seafood dishes will easily tempt the tastebuds. Beef burgers, fish‘n’chips, and steak sandwiches are easily recognisable club staples and this bistro doesn’t disappoint when it comes to size, quality and presentation. Take inspiration from the surfers below and take your turf for a surf, or rather, indulge in half a kilo of fresh Shark Bay prawns for under $25. You’ll find that most meals go surprisingly well with an icy cold Blue Tongue beer or a bottle of wine in the bucket. With a view mostly painted with blue and green and a menu to boot, Bondi Icebergs Bistro may just well be one of the most lucrative dining clubs in Sydney.
