Profiled by de Groots MediaIt’s fun, it’s fast - it’s all American in feeling. Like the slew of fast food diners we have seen cropping up lately, like Burgerlicious and Burgerman, The Bite Me Burger Company celebrates all things cheesy. It has that old 50's American feel form the moment you walk in and the staff have Johnny Rocket's smiles. It seems that these little hot red diners might spread and the menu suggest that could take over the world with their marketing paraphernalia.
But what about the food? Well frankly its great. When you know that you can't eat another organic tempeh stew, with rosewater head to Bite me for an All Australian burger with Grain-fed Terra Rossa beef stacked, sautéed onions, vine-ripened tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, beetroot, tomato ketchup and if you like melted cheddar cheese, bacon rasher, grilled fresh pineapple and oh organic egg. now if that doesn't sound like two all beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese and onions on a sesame seed bun then I don't know what does. Which brings me to the buns, the bread, the burger's royal glove. What's good about Bite me is that they haven't forgotten about the Gluten Free and Atkins diet people who would prefer to eat deep fired prawns guacamole and chilli beef and red beans than go anywhere near bread. Its fun, it s fattenign and its thoughtful- So Bite me is an appropriate name.
