LOCATIONLocated in the northern beach suburb of Queenscliff twenty minutes from the CBD. Just north of Manly
PROFILED BY DE GROOTS MEDIAFloating above Freshwater beach on the Queenscliff headland is the heavenly Angel Restaurant. In an old beach cottage whose birth was over a centry ago in 1906, this neat and charming restaurant is light-filled and inviting with an open deck area out back to sit and enjoy the magnificent views and cooling sea breeze. Creative photographs of Sydney and its personalities grace the walls reflecting the fun and eclectic life of the nearby city.
As the sun rises over the water, fill your belly with the likes of house-cured ocean trout Benedict; roasted corn cakes; porridge with banana buttered apples and maple syrup; or a very big brekkie that includes a scotch fillet for morning protein. Light lunches include steak sandwiches, pear and walnut salad, and seafood laksa. Dinner requires something more filling such as kangaroo loin crusted in bush pepper with bush tomato chutney and roasted beetroot puree.
