Merimbula Wharf Restaurant

The best pasta and seafood in most Australian city, most popular is the flat bread is to die for ,its gooood!!!and dont forget the tiramisu' cake, but dont drive. hahaha (I'm goin back) 16/07/2009

My daughter, her partner, my 2 1/2 yo grand daughter and myself had lunch at Merrimbula Wharf Restuarant on Valentines Day 2009. Whilst the decor is a little outdated, the food is something to die for!! the restaurant offers a good range of gluten free meals. My daughter and her partner had balmain bugs that were cooked to perfection served with a delicous modern salad with a citrus style dressing. I had the most delicious chili pepper squid also served with a delicious moderne salad with a citrus style dressing. The baby had a bowl of chips. We followed the main meal with the most decadent delicious gluten free white chocolate blueberry cheesecake. The restaurant offers a good range of wines, cocktails and other beverages. The staff was friendly,helpful and attentive and the restaurant is reasonably child friendly, offering a box of toys, colouring book and pencils to occupy my grand daughter. The restaurant is not cheap, but for the quality of food and service it was very reasonably priced. We did not book ahead but I would think it may be necessary for an evening meal. 23/02/2009
