LOCATIONLerida is just off the Federal Highway approx 45 kms from Canberra CBD, 11 kms from the southern Collector turnoff, and 50 kms from Goulburn. Turn off the Federal Highway at Gurney VC rest area, turn right into 'The Vineyards' and Lerida Estate is first winery on your left (about 800 metres from turnoff).
DETAILSRest and revive at a lovely winery café on the Federal Highway overlooking Lake George. Lerida Estate Winery is one of the most popular Canberra region wineries, and Café Lerida is a great place for a meal and an espresso coffee. Drop in while travelling along the Federal Highway, or make it a destination as part of a weekend drive to the Lake George/Collector/Bungendore area. During winter, drop in to the Café and Cellar Door on the way to or from the Snowy Mountains. Café Lerida serves Anne’s home-made scones and delicious seasonal food from locally sourced produce. The menu is updated weekly. Favourite dishes include quiches, frittatas, home-made soups, fillet steak sandwiches, smoked lamb sausages, hearty beef & burgundy and chicken pies and a range of cakes including a white chocolate & raspberry cheesecake, apple, pear and cinnamon cake, and a delicious chocolate & walnut brownie. In the warmer months, sit in the courtyard under an umbrella and enjoy the spectacular view. Picnic facilities and a BBQ are available. Keep warm during the winter months with a spot by the fireplace and enjoy a glass of Jim’s gluhwein. You can also buy a bottle of Jim’s gluhwein to take home with you.
While at the Cellar Door, taste our extensive range of cool climate multi-award winning wines including our Shiraz and Shiraz Viognier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Merlot. We also have a dessert wine, a sparkling wine and a good quality, good value cleanskin.
Lerida Estate offers a number of activities for visitors. Do a tour of the Glenn Murcutt winery followed by tutored wine tasting (by appt only), enjoy the Lake George Vineyards Walk (takes about an hour) or have a leisurely game of Petanqué while enjoying the fabulous panoramic view over Lake George. Lerida Estate also plays host to a number of food & wine festivals and music events throughout the year.
FUNCTIONSThe Tasting Room and adjoining courtyard at Lerida Estate enjoy superb views over Lake George and can be used for small corporate functions from board meetings to larger functions when combined with the adjoining Barrel Room. Lerida Estate staff can also organize formal dinners to gourmet BBQ's and social club outings.

WINE TASTING & WINERY TOUR WITH AQUILA HELICOPTERSWhy not let Acquila Helicopters take you on a unique scenic helicopter flight over Lake George. You will be the exclusive travellers aboard your own privately chartered helicopter as you take in the breathtaking views of the most spectcular inland lake in Australia, circule over the vineyeard at the foot of Lake George Range and then head straight to the Cellar Door. Cafe Lerida is open for helicopter arrivals on Saturdays, Sundays and most public holidays from 10-5.00. Tour the winery with the owner or the winemaker, taste some fabulous award winning wines, and then have lunch at Cafe Lerida.
