I didn't know much about Botanica before we dined there last Friday night - but let me tell you it was one of those joyous experiences like when you have just found an unexpected jewel. The greeting on arrival gave an indication as to what type of night we were to expect. Friendly, inviting and warm. A contemporary room, elegant table top and a delicious well-constructed menu. The marinated ocean trout melted in your mouth; the pappadelle with ox tail caused my lips to stick together (so good was the sauce) and the house made breads were the reason I couldn’t find room for dessert. But that gives me a reason to go back. Excellent value; fabulous food; and the quality of staff every restaurant is searching for. review 16/08/2011
