Margan Restaurant is owned and operated by Lisa & Andrew Margan. It is part of the wine business Margan Family Wines and is based in the beautiful Broke Fordwich wine sub-region of the Hunter Valley, NSW. It includes 100 hectares of vineyards, a state of the art winery as well as the Margan Restaurant and Tasting Rooms. Margan Restaurant is housed within a striking rammed earth building featuring antique wrought iron gates, commissioned artworks and a stunning interior design. To one side, the space opens onto an Italian inspired courtyard, complete with laser cut iron features and a hand wrought water fountain. To the other side, the veranda offers sweeping views of the vineyards and Brokenback mountain range. FOOD & BEVERAGE
The business tagline for Margan Wines is ‘Estate Grown - Estate Made’ and the Restaurant faithfully follows this ethos, aiming to provide a complete wine tourism experience, delivering the highest quality wine, food, customer service and rural ambiance. Resident Margan chickens strut contentedly around the one-acre kitchen garden which provides much of the fruit and vegetables for the seasonally inspired menus. Margan makes an ideal setting for weddings, ceremonies and events, with unique spaces such as the restaurant, courtyard, barrel hall, verandah or tasting bar available to hire. The tasting bar and barrel hall offer a wonderful winery atmosphere.
