The spacious restaurant features floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and a melange of white linen-draped tables surrounded by wooden chairs, that are strategically scattered around the room to take full advantage of the garden view. FOOD & BEVERAGE
With its strong focus on locally sourced, organic ingredients Cracked Pepper allows diners to experience innovative cooking that follows the rhythms of the seasons. Begin with an entrée of poached quail eggs on warm potato with aioli, local bacon and radicchio or perhaps caramelised scallops and slow-cooked pork belly with lemon, fennel and chilli. A main course of char-grilled Hunter beef fillet medallions is unfettered in its flavour, and accompanied by a slow-cooked Waygu shin with braised mushrooms and a potato galette. Be sure to save room for an orange and cardamom tartlet for dessert. There is also a smashing weekend brunch menu, which features a tantalizing savoury dish of sautéed field mushrooms on toasted house-made brioche with parsley and pine nuts, or a sweet starter of Muscat-poached pear stack with whipped local cream, mixed berry and organic vanilla compote that sits elegantly atop a buttery brioche. Vegetarians you’re in luck, as Cracked Pepper offers select vegivore menus and the majority of dishes on the menu are gluten free.
