With a heritage dating back to 1984, Courtney's Brasserie is Parramatta's quintessential fine diner. Relocated to an 1840s brick cottage in 2005, its appearance is rather modest in comparison with the newer crop of restaurants in the area. Courtney's is more your classic dinner date destination – warmly furnished, candle-lit and carpeted, it's a quiet space with a soothing ambience. The staff are pleasant, the menu reads beautifully and as far as the wine list goes, suffice to say those with an unlimited budget will be utterly spoiled for choice. There is, however, an acceptable selection of wines by the glass for the rest of us.
