Byron Bay is located at the easternmost point on the east coast of Australia, 2.5 hours drive south of Brisbane. Byron is one hour drive south of the Gold Coast Airport and 25 minutes north of Ballina/Byron airport with regular flights servicing both. Situated within this oustanding resort is an alfresco restaurant of exceptional ambience and fine food. Diners are treated to a view of gardens and pool against a backdrop of preserved rainforest. Service was responsive and attentive while the wine list was adequate but marginally on the expensive side. The menu offered a good range of choice at reasonable prices. The food was interesting and carefully prepared - the special entree of scallops on crispy pork and apple was exceptional. The B at B appeared interested in presenting an exciting dining ecperience. review 08/11/2009
