Good customer service, loud atmosphere but lovely modern aesthetics. Food sounded nice...but was not to the standard of the price. Main portions were small and not filling. Ordered the steak, which was quite ordinary in its accompaniments. We ordered the Pork Sausage which was way way too fatty and needed something more/different with it to balance out the flavours and texture, again small portions and too much animal fat on the palate. The steamed beans with olive oil and sea salt was the most enjoyable dish we ordered. The wine, the Disaster Bay Semillon in a carafe was not an enjoyable drop again for $20 a higher standard would be expected, I have tasted a nicer drop for $5. Sorry guys..we were pretty disappointed and think maybe you are trying a bit too hard without the essence. 01/12/2011

I dined at Pulp a couple of months ago with 3 other people and we all thought it fantastic. It has atmosphere which, admittedly, does not make for a quiet meal so you should be prepared for that. Service was good and food simply divine. Each one of us was very happy with our choice of meal. The serving sizes do swing towards the smallish which may give the impression that the meals are not as reasonably priced as you initially thought. But in terms of the quality of ingredients, and the standard of preparation, I think you get what you pay for. In fact, we are going back tonight! 04/02/2009

I recently dined at Pulp kitchen and after reading the reviews on this Ainslie restaurant I was dissapointed. Whilst the menu appears reasonably priced the meal that was served, was why it was that price. Service was good but the ambience was noisy and cold. My partner decided it was not the place to go for a quiet meal and to relax. Interesting menu, but not that appealing - they can not decide what cuisine they want to follow. Over all rating very average.... 20/07/2007
