Located at street level in Manuka Arcade on Franklin Street, just like its twin in Civic, My Cafe in Manuka offers generous and tasty servings of cafe favourites. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it has a menu perfect for anyone who wants informal dining yet something more substantial than just coffee and cake or take-away lunch box. All the options you would expect from a robust and experienced cafe are available – toasted breads, wedges, substantial salads and a large range of sandwiches and bagels. Also very popular are the many different types of burgers on offer, these are available on a selection of breads and are accompanied by a generous serve of chips. For those wanting a hot meal; pastas, stir-fries, meat-based dishes and an array of blackboard specials are available and, if it is just cake and coffee you are after, then of course a tempting selection of delights are to be found under the counter.

The other important part of a cafe – and one not to be forgotten – is the drinks. My Cafe is a reliable choice for those who love their espressos or flat whites and chai lattes. Pots of tea are also a nice option for any time of the day, but especially a good choice for an unhurried weekend brunch. My Cafe’s frappes are a personal favourite. Unlike some other cafes in the area, My Cafe is licensed, so frappes with additions such as vodka, beer and wine are available. On a final note, if part of the attraction of Manuka cafes in general is the possibility to “see and be seen”, with a central location and ample outdoor tables, My Cafe is perfectly located for doing both.
