However, what many are unaware of is that Delissio Restaurant and Bar has also been a strong fixture in Curtin for many years. Although many may only know Curtin as another unassuming suburb, the location of Delissio in Curtin makes it a perfect choice for those wanting to avoid the hassles and pay parking of Civic. Delissio is nicely decorated, well designed and on par with anything in the city – in other words a far cry from a downtrodden suburban joint, with the same to be said of the food. The menu is very similar to Delissio in Braddon; a mix of Italian and French influences with distinctly Australian touches evident in dishes such as Kangaroo Carpaccio with chilli beetroot chutney, fetta and parsley salad.
In addition to a large range of pizza choices, the menu has been designed with those who want to enjoy a three course meal in mind. Entree choices include king prawns sauteed in a spinach and garlic cream served with crab and prawn ravioli, oyster choices and an intriguing goat’s cheese mousse. A very popular pasta choice is the linguini oceana which includes prawns, calamari, fresh fish and scallops. Main meals include chicken, duck and beef options as well as the very tasty braised lamb shoulder with pancetta and parsely breadcrumbs on Sicilian caponata. Also available are two banquet menus, both including breads and dips, starters and mains; the more expensive option allows diners to have individual mains. Last but not least, Delissio has an extensive take-away menu and is open on Sunday mornings for brunch.
