PROFILE BY BEST RESTAURANTS
There's something so alluring about a seafood buffet. It might be fact that seafood is so prohibitively expensive that you never feel like you've quite had your fill and a smorgasbord of ocean critters will allow you overindulge and rid yourself of seafood cravings for at least a week or two. Unless your name is Homer Simpson, dinner at the Jetty Restaurant won't leave you wanting. Huge, fresh prawns are piled as high as Everest alongside rows of fleshy oysters cradled in their shells. And it's not just seafood, there's also grilled steaks; Asian dishes such as salt and pepper squid, spring rolls, crispy pork, noodles and curries; and an array of salads to accompany your meal.
With such a feast the problem lies not in what to choose, but what to eschew. Perhaps dessert, although it might prove hard to resist the platters of fruit, trays of cakes and tubs of cream and ice-cream. Located a scenic drive down Stokes Hill Wharf, the Jetty hangs out over the water and offers panoramic views of the Timor Sea through floor-to-ceiling windows or from the wraparound balcony.
