CHEEKY CHOCOLATE
Sydney, NSW

This decadent chocolate patisserie cafe in North Strathfield is exactly what the doctor orders. Their twitter account is dedicated to postings such as "If there's no chocolate in heaven, I'm not going" and if that isn't enough to lure you to the restaurant then the menu, created by none other than celebrity macaroon man Adriano Zumbo, sure will.

Very Disappointed - 16/12/2012
Unfortunately i was very disappointed & disillusioned. the food and service didn't match to the beautiful decor and previous reviews. Our desserts came over 20 minutes after our order was taken. 2 tables who came after us, received their orders and leave BEFORE our drinks and food came to the table. No apologies or explanation given. The quality of food did not match the steep prices.

Loved the decor ! However the service was a little slow and unfriendly. Also the macaroons were a bit on the stale side...

The beautiful decor does not quite make up for the bad service. Waitstaff were rude and unhelpful. Despite the delicious but not so reasonably priced desserts, we left with a bad taste in our mouths and will not be returning.
Sweet Treat - 23/03/2012
Love it! Went for the first time last night and I will definately be back. The owner/manager was really nice and walked around checking on patrons and smiled all night. We had the Banana Sundae it was amazing and worth every cent. I don't understand how people on here can say it is too expensive. Cafes in Sydney serve a slab of pre bought over processed cake with ice cream for over $14 per slice, and that is called "dessert". Great spot for a drink with the girls or just a decadent night out. Best of luck for the future and I really hope you guys do well!

I love this place, its just home away from home, its like going to grandma's.. with a bit of a victorian feel. The food is honestly to due for, and reasonably priced, as Zumbo is involved. A very positive experience. I recommend to anybody
Very disapointed - 5/02/2012
After longing to go to this restaurant we were extremely shocked at the poor service and horrible tasting food for rip off prices. They served us with the wrong dish and didn't even apologize or offer to make it right - not to mention we walked in at 10:15 they took 20 minutes to take our order and we were then told 'you need to order now your lucky we even let you in we close at eleven' the lady behind the counter looked like she was dying for the restaurant to close so she could eat all the left overs and as for the waiter.. Mardi gras happens in the city in March, never knew cheeky chocolates was the new float. As for the decor, looks like an old lighting shop with mismatched chairs and tables, a little like my grandpa's attic.

Service was fast if a little aggressive - perhaps a response to previous poor reviews. Hot chocolate was not what one would expect from a chocolate cafe - steamed milk with chocolate powder? The cakes are expensive at $9/piece. The chocolate raspberry looked great - very Zumboish with peaks of meringue and tasted good, the passionfruit cheesecake OK. Little marshmallows on the counter looked great but were tough - struggled to cut one in half with a teaspoon. Other desserts arriving at neighbouring tables didn't seem to justify the hefty price tag. And the decor - sorry, just misses for me. The chairs were too high for the table we sat at.
