Croydon Lane is a cool laid-back hangout a short walk from Cronulla Beach, 30 minutes south of Sydney. The interior is dark and moody or there's outdoor seating in the courtyard. The seating arrangements and the shared tapas plates encourage intimate dining, and there are larger, individual meals available, along with killer cocktails and a carefully chosen wine list offering boutique Australian and international wines. Also live music Thursday, Friday and Sunday evenings.

Greek born chef George Sideris is at the helm, previously having rubbed shoulders with Luke Mangan at Glass and working as head chef at Azafran Tapas in Surry Hills. His Mediterranean background is an inspiration for his food, which also incorporates modern Australian flavours. The menu changes with the seasons and comes as tapas or larger share plates designed for two or more people. Opt for the ultimate cheese plate for dessert, which comes with quince paste, fresh bread and lavosh.
