Australia’s largest beer festival transforms the Hobart waterfront into a universe of boutique and craft beer this November. Breweries large and small from across Tasmania, interstate and overseas put their best brews on show for beer lovers to take their time sampling as many as they want. Hobart’s Princes Wharf (home to the Taste of Tasmania), overlooking the magnificent Derwent Estuary and picturesque Salamanca Place, will be completely given over to the festival. The festival is set amidst some of Tasmania’s finest restaurants, hotels and waterfront tourist attractions – the stage is set for a beer experience second to none. Australian boutique beers go head to head with the world’s best – giving you the opportunity to compare top Tasmanian brews with the rest of the world.
Boutique beer and plenty of food, combined with live music, brewing information sessions, food-matching and more, turn on the best Tasmania has to offer. Lovers of ale can also meet brewers, attend information sessions on commercial and home brewing, enter the home brew competition and educate their palates with hundreds of boutique beers from micro to major breweries.
With beers available from across the globe, people can dedicate their journey of discovery to specific regions – choose the Tasmanian experience, English Bitters and Ales, the oldest beers in the world from Belgium. Knowledgeable beer experts will guide sessions.
