Kiss the doldrums of the working week goodbye by hightailing it out of the city, heading directly to Pettavel Winery and Restaurant for a Friday evening of indulgent feasting and enthusiastic quaffing of wine. Situated in the picturesque cool-climate region of Geelong, Pettavel Winery and Restaurant is one of Victoria’s most awarded destinations for wining and dining, having been awarded a grand total of six chefs hats in the revered Age Good Food Guide over the years, and a place in the Victorian Restaurant and Caterers Association Hall of Fame in 2005 after three consecutive “Best Restaurant in a Winery” awards.

Executive chef, Matt Dempsey and Pettavel winemaker, Peter Flewellyn, have worked closely together to design a seasonal menu of vibrant modern Australian flavours that perfectly compliments the award-winning range of Pettavel wines. Every Friday night, the restaurant welcomes the weekend with a leisurely five-course banquet menu that showcases the best of Dempsey and Flewellyn’s delicious creations. The banquet is comprised of three entree-sized courses served in succession, followed by a mouth-watering choice of main course and dessert. Each course is served at a relaxed pace to allow diners to ease their way into the weekend over fabulous food and wine. The Friday night five-course banquet costs $70 per person, with wine charged at an additional cost.
