Sacrifice your Saturday morning sleep-in, we’ve got something better for you. The Matters of Taste cooking school is hosting weekly “Saturday Quickies” cooking classes at 10am. So you can swing by, grab a coffee and add a new dish to your cooking repertoire each week. The classes take place at the Matters of Taste shop on the corner of Harris Street and Pembroke Street in Bicton, are one hour long and work through ingredients, cooking techniques and cover food news in Perth.

Grab a fresh coffee from Little Stove (a cafe on the corner) to help you wake up, nab a seat in the showroom and watch the magic happen. Each week the Matters of Taste team will take you through a different recipe – maybe you can learn to make an apple and almond galette, perhaps it’ll be butter chicken, Moroccan ras el hanout chicken and couscous broth, a Spanish lemon chicken on Andean grains or a rustic Calabrian soup? You will watch as the ingredients are explained, the meal is prepared and then you’ll get to sample the week’s creation – not a bad way to kick off a weekend. You will also receive a laminated recipe card and a few kitchen tips to take away with you. The classes run from 10am to 11am and cost $15.00 per person. Cooking Club Gold Members receive a 10% discount.
