Visiting the farmers market is a great way to get to know and support the food producers in the local community. It is also a relaxing and enjoyable way to spend the day. There is something so wholesome about seeing stalls overflowing with cabbages, mushrooms, nuts and strawberries, and knowing that the journey from the ground to you was short, unfettered by chemical preservatives and middle men.
