Event Description:
Parmelia Hilton Perth has joined the fight to combat climate change by participating in Earth Hour 2010. On 27 March between 8.30pm and 9.30pm, the hotel will switch off lights and turn on awareness.
In 2009 Parmelia Hilton Perth won the AHA award for WA’s Best Environmental Initiative demonstrating the hotels active commitment to the environment. Participating in Earth Hour for the third successive year further illustrates the hotel’s strong environmental focus.
At the Parmelia Hilton Perth guests will be encouraged to assist by limiting the lighting in their rooms. The hotel will turn off signage lights, exterior lights and all non-essential operational lights. Lighting will be reduced in the lobby, corridors, back of house and service areas and team members will raise awareness by wearing Earth Hour t-shirts.
A special three course ‘Earth Hour’ menu will be served in the Adelphi & Globe Restaurant for dinner on the 27 March. The menu features organic, local, sustainable produce with energy saving cooking methods. Dinner will be served by candlelight.

To complement, Cullen biodynamic white and red wines will be poured.
The menus will be hand written on lemon bottlebrush seeded paper which guests can take home, plant and a bottlebrush will grow!
