Do you believe you have what it takes to go head to head against perhaps the best dumpling makers in Sydney? Celebrate Chinese New Year a little differently this year by taking on the dumpling challenge in Sydney’s World Square Shopping Centre. Din Tai Fung, which opened in May 2008, has been wowing Sydneysiders with their perfectly executed and scientifically measured hand-made dumplings. Since opening, this restaurant has made well over one million of the scrumptious Taiwanese balls of joy. Learn the secrets behind creating a flawless dumpling and join in the competition against the experts.
Besides the heated contests that will ensue, there will be free Taiwanese food and drink tastings, cultural dancing and a Chinese calligraphy demonstration with giveaway prizes. Discover the intricacies behind a Chinese tea ceremony or sip on a specially imported Taiwanese beer.
