Event Description:
Armed with woks, knifes, exotic sauces and fresh produce, you will chop, simmer and stir-fry away, as you learn how to make the most desirable Thai dishes. Exploring the many facets of this exciting south-east Asian cuisine, over three hours, students of Nim Osborne’s Deakin Thai Cuisine Cooking Class will be taught the techniques and processes needed to prepare one authentic Thai entree, one main and one side dish.
Taking place every Saturday or Sunday, the class commences with an explanation of the provided ingredients. Then it’s woks on as the kitchen steams up in the fragrance of a spicy combination of sauces, pastes, vegetables, meat and herbs. Every participant releases the inner chef as the ingredients come together to form complement-worthy meals such as tom yum goong, chicken green curry (kaeng khiew wan kai) and chicken pad thai. And, for the perfect finish, the entire class is asked to sit down and feast on the Thai cuisine they prepared. Learning how to cook authentic Thai will set you back $65 and bookings are essential.
