Event Description:
The Carnevale is celebrated all over the world but you need only travel to the city of Adelaide to enjoy this exuberant occasion. The Adelaide Showground is bringing Italy to your doorstep in a festival which celebrates the Italian community, its culture and the last celebration before Ash Wednesday and the 40 days of lent. A smorgasbord of entertainment and activities, such as grape crushing and cooking demonstrations, ensures there is something for everyone to get involved in. The program includes dancing, singing and special guests, and traditional mass and choirs.

There will also be food stalls abound put on by the various clubs involved in the festivities. Regional Italian fare will tempt the senses and wine from the homeland will match terrifically with the cuisine. The Carnevale weekend promises to be a wonderfully unique occasion for the whole family. As well as being a showcase of Italy’s warm hospitality and traditions, the event is a fundraiser for the welfare of the elderly within the community.
