Event Description: Western Australia wine has such a great reputation, but no matter how you look at it, it is just a bit too far to drive to have a drink – no matter how nice that drink may be. The National Wine Centre of Australia has recognised this and on Friday, 26 February has organised for one of the oldest Western Australia wineries, Plantagenet Wines, to come to you. As one of the first wineries in the Great Southern region, Plantagenet Wines has been bottling its cool climate wines since 1974 and has worked up a reputation with its Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
So on Friday get off work early and head for the National Wine Centre (located on the corner of Botanic and Hackney Roads). Here, starting from 4:30pm, you will be invited to taste a few glasses of the delicious Plantagenet Wines and see whether you can taste this winery’s celebrated pure air and soil. Entry into Fridays Uncorked: Plantagenet Wine is free, however each glass will set you back $4.50. Some complimentary cocktail food will be provided.
